From DECA's web site… Collegiate DECA is a student driven organization that values competence, innovation, integrity, and teamwork. We prepare students for careers by integrating skills learned in the classroom into real world experiences. Collegiate DECA programs assist in developing academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible, experienced leaders. Our students major in a variety of academic programs with a strong focus on business-related fields. Collegiate DECA conferences and other activities give students unique access to internships, scholarships, competition, and professional networking.

What is Collegiate DECA?

Collegiate DECA at Western Technical College has many oportunities for college students to learn and grow… we will spend a lot of time on these four areas:

1. Enrichment & Growth—We helps each member grow personally and professionally, as individuals and as a team. Challenging yourself in your field of study and competing in your field really help you grow and prepare for your first job.
2. Fundraising & Promotion—We work within the greater La Crosse area to contribute to our community and to help raise money as a team to pay for our members to go to competitive events.
3. Practice for competitive events—Students choose an event to compete in, then prepare and practice for that event
4. Travel to competitive events, compete, and hopefully win!
