I like that we have time to work in class, a lot of creative freedom to do our work, and that we avoid working out of a book.
Craig is very positive even if you have a lacking design. He gives you suggestions and it never makes you feel like your design is bad, it just needs some tweaking. He is also very helpful when it comes to any question you have or if you need help getting something right with a part of your design. Craig is probably the friendliest teacher I have and he is always fun to be around.
Lectures, They are just the right length. All of the work time, actually got to finish projects in class. Explanations, He explained how to do things very well and did one on one if you needed help.
Feedback and helping with Adobe Programs. Good amount of time to work on projects. Helps a lot with developing final product.
1. Work time in class.
2. I like that Craig help make suggestions and in giving me ideas to improve or change my design.
3. Was helpful when needed during work time.
Craig provides feedback effectively. Feedback is explained in a manner where the student can visualize changes and see the improvements.
-Work time -Individual help -Projects are spread out so we have time to work on them
having plenty of time to work on projects very interactive, willing to help and critique while creating projects the lessons are informational and helpful and not useless information
Three areas Craig can improve
Certain projects have a few more examples
-Slow down just a bit -That's about it...
-I think it would be cool to do 3 critics 1. group critic 2. class critic (rework project) 3. one-to-one critic
Use more constructive criticism
grades on black board? walk around more (in class)
Maybe play soft music in class More critiques from classmates Ask for more comments from students when presenting
Not much, this is one of my favorite classes.
some how getting class more involved.
Nothing Nothing Nothing
I'd like to see a bit more application of subjects learned in lecture. We covered the base things, but in addition to the lecture that is more engaging would help. Maybe look at popular logos and identify some characteristics that work well and others that don't.
1. We weren't given a lot of direction on the projects 2. Class at 8 A.M. sucks haha 3. I can't think of another one!
1. Giving more feedback on what could be improved. 2. Letting us know what is too simple and what he doesn't like long before it is due. 3. Explaining how to do projects better.
I don't think Craig needs to improve on anything.
I know there is probably something but I really liked his teach style and methods.
Maybe more peer reviews and more interactive lectures?
None…can't think of any.
-Sometimes discussions can be long but other than that I don't really think there is much to be improved.
3 most important things you learned in this class
Certain fonts don't work with all designs Learning to come up with roughs before doing final You can always change your design

Sketching and roughing out ideas before going into the final. I surprised myself when I stumbled upon better ideas in the 6-10th sketches. Learning how to refine my designs and polish them. The fundamentals of design haha. I feel that the lectures in addition to student presentation helped drive home concepts.
1. Illustrator in general
2. Layout and how things work with each other

How colors can affect the thinking of a design, how the layout of a design can make the target audience feel, and how to use not too much type but just enough to get your point across.
I learned a lot about the process of creating projects. The elements that go into creating projects. How to put those elements in to play on your layout.
Color, layout, and text readability.
1. Layout design 2. Type face - I had issues with this a lot because it was hard to find a font that would work or go with the layout or design theme. 3. Color - hard to figure out what color to use to capture audience attention.
Effective use of design elements to communicate your message.
2. Color usage
-Principles of design -Taking constructive criticism into good use -Learning how to be an effective designer
design flow(meaning layout) color schemes recreate more than once to get a good product
Craig was a great teacher and made this class very easy to come to. Also made it very easy for an overly nervous girl present in front of her class.
I really enjoyed everything in this class, I also like how you gave us our own space instead of be all over us! See you soon and Merry Christmas :)
