DO NOT cut your pages yet…

Folding Your Pages

DO NOT cut your pages yet…

Use our manual folder to fold you pages. It gives your pages a more professional fold and minimizes paper breakage.

I will demonstrate this in class.

Saddle-Stitch Binding (strongly suggested!)

DO NOT cut your pages yet…

Saddle-stitch your folded pages using our saddle-stick machine.

I will demo this in class to help you out.

Now… Cut Your Booklet Out

I strongly suggest your cut your booklet out using a ruler and X-acto knife. It will be cleaner and neater than the large cutters.

I will demo this in class to help you out.

Corner Rounding Machine

The corner roounder can add a finished look to your booklet. It is easy to use and fast.

Spiral Binding - Another Option

To finish your book, punch the binder holes and bind it with a plastic spiral binder. Or you may be creative with your binding. I have seen students sew their binding in with hemp rope to give it a “green” Earth-friendly feel. Experiment with different things that fit your brand.

If it fits with our booklet shape, I would suggest rounding the corners. I gives your book a professional look. We have a cool corner rounder in the bindery area. Ask for help if you need it.

Optional: You may put a protective plastic over your front and back covers. It will help protect your booklet from scratches. You will have to buy this material though. If you go to a office supply store, buy the material used for overhead transparencies. (Do Not print on this clear material—it will ruin the copiers).
