Illustrate the cover and inside of a greeting card (two illustrations).
You may create your type by hand, or on the computer in InDesign (see template below).
You may choose your own theme and copy, or choose one of the following headlines: Smile! • You’re My Favorite Friend • Friends Forever • Smooooch! • Crazy about You! • A Great Big Hug for You! • Kisses for You • A Birthday Wish for You • Happy Birthday • Just Wanted to Brighten Your Day! Or, any other respectable and marketable headline you write yourself.
First, choose a theme to go with your headline. Then start sketching ideas. Don't limit yourself to basic ideas and concepts. This project will be graded on your ability to create a new, fresh, innovative, greeting card concept. Be original, and remember that quirky, funny, lively cards are what sell best!
- Elements: Choose a headline from above. Then choose 2—3 additional elements for your card. An element could be an animal, person, a garden, cake, or a pair of kissing fish.
