Prismacolor Markers
Some artists use markers as their main medium, but they are mainly used to quickly draw advertising and product color mock ups.

Helpful hints using markers:
- 100% Rag marker paper blends markers the best
- Always use 2–3 sheets of white paper under your marker paper—as a blotter layer
- Working fast keeps markers and your work wet and blending smoothly
- Keep caps off markers you are using—it keeps them available when you need them
- Don't trace pencil guidelines on your paper. Markers will bleed and mix with the graphite
- I suggest placing a b/w copy of your rough beneath your marker paper and draw over it
- Don't get your paper too wet or the markers will bleed through and all over your paper's back side
Blending Markers
Blending markers is a difficult thing to explain in writing. I'll demonstrate in class and all will soon be clear.
